Singapore has the second highest rate of type 2 diabetes in the world. Singaporeans consume, on average,12 teaspoons of sugar a day. Of this, five teaspoons are from sugary drinks, making it an important focus for reducing sugar consumption. Through Yumsen , we plan to completely change the experience of drinking water by harnessing the four other senses. Taste is easily influenced — over 80% of our taste comes from our smell; colour, imagery, and textures can also change our taste perceptions.
